50,000 t/yr.
West Texas. Proposed.
A proposed LFP cathode plant — in planning, not built, not operating.
The proposed plant
Our proposed first plant in West Texas targets 50,000 tonnes per year of LFP cathode material. It is a proposed project — in planning, not built, not operating.
The site layout follows the two-stage process: a precursor hall (wet chemistry), a cathode hall (dry, high-temperature), and a utilities spine connecting them, plus raw-material receiving, warehousing, office, and lab space.
Project snapshot
| Item | Status |
|---|---|
| Target capacity | 50,000 t/yr LFP cathode (proposed target) |
| Location | West Texas, USA (proposed) |
| Stage 1 | Iron phosphate precursor, ammonia route |
| Stage 2 | LFP cathode: mix, sinter, mill, coat, pack |
| By-product | Ammonium sulfate recovery |
| Water | Zero liquid discharge (design intent) |
| Status | Proposed — planning stage |
Proposed vs. verified
From project materials: ammonia-route chemistry and stage order; 50,000 t/yr target; automation / robot transport; zero-discharge as a stated design goal.
Illustrative: building footprints, equipment sizes and counts, line counts, temperatures as project setpoints, recovery rates, yields, costs, and timelines.
Open questions (to be confirmed)
Number of lines and capacity per line; kiln setpoints and atmosphere control; whether precursor calcination is in the final design; lithium and carbon sources; wastewater volumes and MVR sizing; site layout and utilities capacities; legal review of customer wording.
